Tamara Stringer

Social Media Consultant

I love the constant evolution of social media and keeping on top of the updates and changes. I love thinking about how to use social media strategically for businesses, it can be such an effective and great value method of marketing if you get it right!

Social Media Skills

Tamara is an expert in the world of Social Media and is passionate about helping businesses understand how they can use social media to achieve their business goals. She has worked with many small businesses helping them with their social media strategy and training them on how to use social media effectively for their business. The platforms she loves to work on are Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Professional experience

Having lived in Hong Kong, Vanuatu and Brunei as a child – Tamara loves to travel and experience new cultures – she is half Malaysian and loves her food!

Following graduation from Durham University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in European Studies and Spanish, Tamara worked in patenting for a couple of years. She then spent much of her career as an Intelligence officer at the National Crime Agency, Serious Organised Crime Agency and National Criminal Intelligence Service (all various names for broadly the same government agencies).

Looking for a change of direction, Tamara retrained in Social Media Management and Consultancy with Digital Mums. Over the past three years, Tamara has worked in Social Media Management for Oxfam, IncrEdible Kingston and St Johns C of E, helping them to use social media to grow and develop their businesses. During this time Tamara created a hub for bespoke social media support where she provided social media management and consultancy for small independent businesses. She joined Business Clan in May 2019 and supports our clients with social media strategy and management. She is also responsible for posting regular content on our own Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn profiles.
