A busy day advising local businesses for GEW2016
Global Entrepreneurship Week 2016 ran from 14th to 20th November this year and Metro Bank Wimbledon were kind enough to host our pop up business advice centre to celebrate the event.
Derek Terrell, Delta Chocolate
"I found the sessions very helpful and you have given me food for thought in a number of areas. Delta Chocolate is still very much in the process of launching, but I feel that if I take on board the ideas from Delia, Leeza and Alina and develop these, I’ll be in a good position."
We invited local businesses and entrepreneurs to come along for advice sessions with our award-winning specialists on business strategy, marketing, social media, SEO, Google AdWords, HR, accountancy and bookkeeping.
Julien Upson, partner at Wimbledon Chartered Accountants, Hartley Fowler, also popped in during the afternoon to offer tax advice.
As ever, we were excited by the range of business ideas in our local community from mobile coffee stops to sellers of shoes for tiny feet and magic doors for the fairies to visit our children through! We were delighted by how useful our visitors found our advice and were grateful for the follow up emails and tweets of thanks.
Sam Chetwood, Cece & Me
"It was great to meet with Delia and Leeza, it has helped me to focus on the areas I need to work on."
Many thanks to Julie and Cheyne at Metro Bank for being our hosts for the day. If you haven't already become a fan, drop in and say hi. They really know how to do good customer service!
We'd like to do it all over again! So watch this space for details of when our next pop up will be taking place.
